How do I add a command?
Open Runner and add a new item. Give it a title, optionally an icon or emoji, and the shell command you want to save.
How do I run a command?
Left-click the Runner icon in the macOS menu bar and choose the command. It runs with /bin/zsh.
How do I edit a command?
Open the command in Settings. You can edit it in a dark, full-size code window.
Can commands run on a schedule?
Yes. You can optionally add a time trigger: hour, day, week, month, or a custom schedule.
What are event-code checks?
An optional check that fires when a script exits 0. Use it when a follow-up should run only after a successful command.
How do I reorder my commands?
Drag items in your list to change their order.
Can I sync commands across Macs?
Yes, if you turn on optional iCloud sync. Commands can sync across Macs signed in with your Apple ID. There is no account inside Runner.
Does Runner need an account?
No. There is no account inside the app. Commands stay under your control on your Mac.
Can Runner launch automatically at login?
Yes. Right-click the menu bar icon and enable Launch at Login. You can turn it off there or in macOS Login Items.
Which macOS version is required?
Runner requires macOS 15 or later.
Does Runner collect usage data?
No. Runner does not use developer-operated analytics, behavioral tracking, or advertising systems. There is no account inside the app.
Is Runner available on the App Store?
Yes. Runner is public on the Mac App Store as Menu Runner.
